September DVD/Video Pick of the Month:

MIRACLE MILE

Starring: Anthony Edwards, Mare Winningham

Miracle Mile is best watched knowing nothing about it beforehand. If you haven't seen it yet, don't read the back of the video/DVD box, or watch the trailer. The most I will say about the story is that it is an "ordinary guy in an extreme situation" type story.

Why is it better to not know anything about before you see it? Because a little ways in it takes you in a direction you are completely not expecting. This movie does not end up being what it starts out as. That is what is great about it. Yes, it will look very dated to you, but it works. There is something about this movie that just works. I wish I could say more but that would ruin it, so go out and rent it!

Remember, don't watch the trailer on the DVD until you've watched the movie!
