Stuff About TaylorTaylor's birthday - October 7th, 1976 - I had Oct 6th because so many articles say that's his birthday. However on the results show from 4/12/06 there was footage of Taylor's house with a sign that says - "Taylor Hicks est. 10-7-76." I'm going to assume that's his real birthday. Taylor's home town - Birmingham, Alabama Taylor's American Idol Auditon: Las Vegas, October 10th 2005 Audition Rules state that a contestant had to be 16 - 28 years old on August 15th 2005 to be eligble for American Idol 5. If you're like me and you don't come from the Southeast USA, you might have been cofused by Taylor's use of the word "toboggan" for a knit hat. A quick web search revealed that In Southern American English a "toboggan" can also refer to the type of hat known elsewhere as a tuque or a ski hat. from Wikipedia. Musical instruments: harmonica and guitar. Some trivia from The Birmingham News: -To get to his Las Vegas audition Taylor used a flight voucher from a canceled flight during hurricane Katrina -Number he wore for Las Vegas audtion: 74094 -Has opened for Jackson Browne, Keb'Mo', Steve Earle and Johnny Lang.
