Based on the hugely popular supernatural television series Dark Shadows (which aired an astounding 1,225 episodes from 1966-71), House of Dark Shadows (1970) "centers on stately Collinwood's afflicted Barnabas Collins (series star Jonathan Frid), who hopes a series of serum injections will make him normal. Alas, nothing can be normal at eerie Collinwood."
Night of Dark Shadows finds Quentin Collins (series star David Selby) arriving at Collinwood with his new bride (Kate Jackson, in her feature film debut). "They're the estate heirs, but the dwelling - or something in it - has other ideas. The welcome mat is out. Step into the dark dread of this full-length Shadows."
