American Idol - Goodbye to Kellie Pickler... Taylor Hicks bottom 3 or 4?
Unchained Melody proved to be the last nail in Kellie Pickler's coffin. Though I thought Paris Bennett would be the one to go last night, I wasn't surprised to see that it was Kellie.
The only reason I thought it wouldn't be Kellie is she had had such a strong fan base, I thought they would be enough to keep her around for one more try.
I think the competition has been narrowed down to the 5 best now. They are all good, which is why Vote For The Worst should give up their campaign.
I can't help but think Taylor Hicks could be in trouble. They were able to kill his momentum so easily, it makes me sad. I can't even give thoughts on what he should do, because he probably won't be able to do it.
In my pre-show thoughts, I said Taylor needed to pick a great song that would give him another Takin' It To The Streets moment. And that is what he did, only he wasn't allowed to do it. So what can anyone say?
Next week each contestant gets to perform 2 songs. One has to be from the year they were born, and the other one has to be from this weeks Billboard Top 10 charts (I guess that means the top 10 in any category? We can only hope.) - interesting. Will anyone do Daniel Powter's Bad Day it is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Taylor Hicks - 1976
Elliott Yamin - 1978
Chris Daughtry - 1979
Katharie McPhee - 1984
Paris Bennett - 1988
I guess they can't fight over the same song on this one.
