Save Arrested Development Day

Fans of Arrested Development have declared Nov 16th as National Save Arrested Development Day. Or maybe it's actually International Save Arrested Development Day. Fans all over the world are encouraged to encourage Fox to keep the show on the air.

Some are also contacting talk shows to request cast members be invited on as guests.

You can also contact HBO, Showtime and the other networks, particularly NBC to suggest they consider picking up AD should Fox not continue with it.

My advice when writing to Fox (or anyone else) is to remain polite. Angry letters full of threats and insults are not likely to get read. Make your points in a contructive way and stay positive.

The good news is AD Season 2 is now ranked #1 for Amazon DVD sales and Season 1 is #2.

More Arrested Development

Ok, so maybe I've become a little obsessed with Arrested Development, but I can't let it go without a fight.

Also, I'm starting to think I'm wrong about no one watching it. The boards (http://forums.prospero.com/foxarrested/start) at fox.com are filled with angry fans.

According to Hollywood reporter AD was #2 in DVD sales for the week ending 11/3/05, it was released 10/11/05.

If you don't want to see AD cancelled before it's time, make your voice known to FOX.

Buy the DVD's - Amazon currently has a special to buy both at a total cost of $31.94. You can't go wrong with that. See sidebar for link.

Why won't people watch ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT!!!!!

I just found out Arrested Development has been cancelled! Not only won't it be coming back next season, but the order for this season has been scaled back from 22 to 13. Unlike previous reports Arrested Development will not be showing new (or reruns for that matter) for the rest of the month.

I just can't understand why this show has not caught on. It's one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. I can't think of more perfect casting for a show since Seinfeld. Everyone on the show is excellent, the writing is excellent and everything about the show works.

I don't want to sound like I'm ranting, but maybe this is just a little rant. I just want to know why this show has such poor ratings!

I guess with the show being off the air I can't ask people to watch, but there are DVD's. I actually got into the show after receiving season one as a gift (ok so I didn't watch it right away either, but that was 2 years ago).

There is a reason for the praise and awards this show is getting.
