TV Shows on DVD....

Though I don't actually watch many TV shows, I seem to have quite a few DVD releases of TV shows. I have recently bought, Strangers With Candy, The Man Show (yes I like that show) and most recently King of the Hill Season 1. King of the Hill is still one of my favorite shows, and the season 1 set is very good. In additioin to these more recent purchases, I already had, X-Files Seasons 1-5, Twin Peaks Season 1, Star Trek TNG Season 5 (I received this as a gift, haven't gotten to the other seasons yet), everything available from Beavis & Butthead, and several Twilight Zone discs.

I don't sit down and watch these regularly, but I do enjoy having them. They are there whenever I feel like watching them. They are good quality, have no commercials, and some have some interesting extra features. The main appeal for me is that I can watch them whenever I want. I guess that's why I don't watch many shows on TV, it is too hard to keep up with. I always get caught up in some series then I find myself programming my VCR or making frantic phone calls if I am going to miss it. Having shows on DVD is much more relaxing.

Now, I am waiting anxiously for the release of Seinfeld to DVD. Does it matter that it is on in syndication every night? Not really, I hardly ever get a chance to watch it during it's scheduled time. So, keep those TV DVD releases coming for those of us who "don't watch much TV."
